DRM stream test
Sign in to your account. Depends on: IE11 doesn't support the navigator. You need to do something like:. I would love to see support for more browsers. Currently it works only in Edge. IE11 would require a some changes. The drmSystem config should be optional.
Most browsers support only one DRM type. It should be easy for the player to figure out which DRM to use. I think it would be great if playready headers in manifests were only optional. I should note here that the PSSH box inside MP4 is already ready to use while the playready header parsed from the manifest requires to be packaged inside a PSSH box before you can use it with EME this is done by current implementation.
This is why I would suggest to change the naming of the playready header in the source because its not PSSH. In principle yes, but the way the EME API is designed allows for several which is a good thing and this makes it necessary to provide a logic to prioritize.
What I propose is we set a default DRM for each browser, so that the user can in principle go config-less. There can for example be custom impl of ClearKey-based things that is a generic key-system shipped in all browsers too etc One may have a preference for PSSH boxes inside the mp4 vs manifest data, that doesn't mean we can just drop support for putting the info in the manifest too unfortunately I think. By the spec we have to support both but I may be wrong?
I think it's not about one being optional or the other mandatory. The information has to be found somewhere that's it, right? Or, let me ask like this, is the PSSH box in the mp4 always guaranteed to be found?
Why is that data then in the manifest too? Could it work like this: First we try the manifest because that's the first data we get and if it's not in there we can get it in the mp4. If it's not found there, we fail.
That kind of would mean the manifest data becomes optional, yes, but with the condition that it will be found in the mp4. However if that data is always in both places I agree we can parse it from the mp4 rather then building a box that we'll already load anyway.
We should at least make sure that we are providing standard support, and then we can definitely also talk about extended use-cases or optimizations. From what I've seen during my testing there were several problems with IEEasily configure our modular player only for what you need, when you need it.

Instead, flash support is provided through the videojs-flash plugin. If you are trying to use Video.
Flash, and the videojs-flash plugin, are not required, but are recommended as a fallback option for browsers that don't have a native HLS player or support for Media Source Extensions.
There are a number of reasons independent of platform to recommend the format, though:. Unfortunately, all the major desktop browsers except for Safari are missing HLS support.
That leaves web developers in the unfortunate position of having to maintain alternate renditions of the same video and potentially having to forego HTML-based video entirely to provide the best desktop viewing experience.
This project addresses that situation by providing a polyfill for HLS on browsers that have support for Media Source Extensionsor failing that, support Flash. Check out the full documentation for details on how HLS works and advanced configuration. A description of the adaptive switching behavior is available, too. You may pass in an options object to the hls source handler at player initialization.
You can pass in options just like you would for other parts of video. Some options, such as withCredentials can be passed in to hls during player. When the withCredentials property is set to trueall XHR requests for manifests and segments would have withCredentials set to true as well. This enables storing and passing cookies from the server that the manifests and segments live on.
See html5rocks's article for more info. When the handleManifestRedirects property is set to truemanifest requests which are redirected will have their URL updated to the new URL for future requests.
When the useCueTags property is set to true, a text track is created with label 'ad-cues' and kind 'metadata'. The track is then added to player. Changes in active cue may be tracked by following the Video. For example:. Try to use videojs-contrib-hls even on platforms that provide some level of HLS support natively.3d coordinate system in computer graphics
